And I really had that title in my head before I thought about what is the opposite of worry. And I realized that for parents, the opposite of worry is not calm serenity. Monks up on the mountaintop have calm serenity, maybe, but they're meditating eight hours a day and they don't have children.
So what do we have? We don't have that calm serenity. What we have as the opposite of worry is trust. So trust in the power of attachment and connection. Trust that what we lay down in those early years is going to carry them forward. Trust in the process of development.”
